Steeped in the popular Norwich Lanes area of the city, lies St Benedict’s Street. Alive with history and culture, through to modern day shopping. Conveniently close to main transport routes through the city and a short walk up St Gregorys Alley, leads you to the heart of the city shopping centre.
An imposing building on four levels, it has had a long and varied history, including at one time trading as a pub. When the pub ceased in 1934, the building took on the life of a shop and more recently was known as “The Music Shop”.
Now the home of Bar Hawthorn a Cocktail Bar, upstairs has table service, serving in-house creations and classics and finally downstairs serves draft beer, classic cocktails, and a wide selection of wines by the glass.
