Designed in the early 1900’s by George Skipper, who is responsible for a large amount of architecture in Norwich (The Royal Arcade, Jarrolds, Surrey House), the building is in itself one bay and a squat tower.  This gives the impression it is being squashed by its neighbouring buildings!  An attractive combination of various shades of brown, cream and grey and decorative with Royal Doulton terracotta tiles.
